Ashley Gildin Spitzer
Fertility Consultant
Ashley is an IVF, NICU and surrogacy warrior. After 3 years of fertility treatment she had her two rainbow babies in 2021 – a baby girl she carried and a baby boy via surrogate – born 4 months apart. She is very well versed in both the fertility and surrogacy patient experiences, having personally done 5 egg retrievals and 6 embryo transfers as well as having worked with 2 different surrogates. She has consulted with multiple fertility clinics and fertility immunologists in the NYC area and has navigated every realm of the fertility workup. She understands how it feels to finally get pregnant after so much heartbreak and loss and how it feels to have someone else carry your baby.
Ashley is familiar with the process, timeline, litigation, and nuances of surrogacy – having utilized an agency as well as finding a surrogate independently. She can provide a thorough overview of the process, what to look for in a surrogate, how to select an agency to work with and how to structure compensation and birth plans.
As a NICU parent she knows how emotional and isolating it can feel to leave the hospital without your baby. Her daughter was born at 33 weeks and spent 47 days in the NICU and she found talking to other NICU moms to be invaluable.
